Buff Holtman

In recent years I've tried different art processes, but my favorite is mixed media, especially using acrylics, paper collage, inks and image transfer on canvas. Color has always been a motivating factor, but using the different processes of creating art is what keeps me interested. Creating layers of color and shapes is my main goal in doing art today. Using self-stained tissue paper along with commercially-made paper as well as stamps and stencils helps me achieve layers that evoke nature. Compositions that are organic interest me more than sharp edges.
